MJD ASSISTING PARENTS DURING STAY AT HOME ORDERS

4/23/2020

SACAMENTO- The unfortunate health crisis has put a stop to in-person education and expanded learning programs. The hope is that K-12 students will be able to return to in-person schooling in May or June. Until then MJD is aware that many parents are looking for resources to supplement their child's education.

MJD Owner, Me'Lisa James is excited to be contributing educational activity packets for youth K-5. She calls them the #EduranceLessons series.

Me'Lisa stated: "I have an 8 year-old nephew, and I wanted to help occupy his time during distance learning or summer. I hope these lessons provide him and other children with fun indoor experiences. The lessons are amusement park themed focusing on the common saying of "Roll with the Times. Because that is definitely what everyone is having to do right now. Adaptability & flexibility during the twist and turns of life are key for developing endurance."

Packets include Math, Language Arts, & Social Science based activities that are all interactive and fun. It includes video links, critical thinking, and spelling practice through riding a roller coaster.

Parents and children can access the packets through the MJD Bitmoji Field Trip scene below to enjoy fun facts and educational activities about AMUSEMENT PARKS!!! (since we can't visit them this summer.)

Activity packets alone can be accessed through the Bitmoji scene below by clicking on the Dinosaur that pops up! Lessons are mobile device friendly. Enjoy!
