SACRAMENTO- MJ Designs: Education & Admin Support is please to announced that we have accepted 2 contract offers from Sacramento area nonprofits.

Beginning in December of 2020, MJD will be joining the Impact Team at United Way California Capital Region(UWCCR) to help coordinate the Free Tax Prep/VITA program in several counties.

VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. It is a IRS sponsored program run by volunteers who become certified in basic tax law to help prepare tax returns for individuals and low income families across the United States.

UWCCR leads the Coalition of VITA programs, now commonly known as Free Tax Prep across 4 counties: Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, & Amador County. The goal is to also provide this service to El Dorado County in the coming years. With MJD's background in Economics and Program Development, this new 12 month grant funded position is projected to be a fitting role.
