FOUNDATIONS
Until the age of 25, Me'Lisa believed her life's purpose was to help reform the the K-12 education system in California as a high school teacher and Vice Principal.
Now as a 4th generation entrepreneur, she proclaims that her experience as a high school teacher was a necessary foundation for business..
WHY CULTURAL HERITAGE?
Everyone has a story that should be told.
For Me'Lisa, her family's rich accounts about surviving as Cotton farmers in the Southern states of Arkansas and Texas ignited her curiosity for exploring the narratives and traditions of different cultures, and teaching her knowledge to others.
.
As a professional in the education and nonprofit sectors, Me'Lisa has seen how society frequently dismisses cultural heritage as primitive or irrelevant. This is why MJD is working to ensure that cultural heritage providers and educators receive funding to maintain the sector for future generations.
EDUCATION THE MJD WAY
In addition to MJD Consulting, Me'Lisa established
CULTURPHORIUM, INC. a 501 (c) 3 charitable nonprofit helping to preserve and promote multicultural history and social science.
The nonprofit was created in response to the 2020 reckoning of the history and cultural resources sector. Me'Lisa knew that the world was finally ready for the education reform she had prepared for over 10 years.
